Scrabble-icious - Another weeknight outing idea!

For those of you who are sitting home Tuesday nights wasting your brain away glued to the couch in front the TV... I implore you to save your brain and join us for Sussex Scrabble. Its PRACTICALLY walking distance from your home.

Sussex Scrabble meets every Tuesday at 6:30 at the meeting room of Lewes Harbortowne (go down Kings Highway toward Lewes and take your first left, I think the sign says "Sussex East" and/or Harbortown, then take another right at the stop sign and look for the guest parking spaces. The building will be the one on the left. You need to be buzzed in, so don't arrive late or email me to tell me that you're coming and I'll make sure to wait for you. There are a VERY WIDE range of skill levels, so don't be intimidated!

It's free but members usually bring some kind of snack (chips, pretzels, etc) and/or a bottle of soda or water to share. You can play 1, 2 or even 3 games a night. Bring your scrabble board and scrabble dictionary if you have one but we usually have enough extra boards for 2 or 3 extra players sans boards.

Free Movie Screenings - Monday Night at Cape Wine and Spirits

Yes, that's right! Free movies within walking distance from your house in Rolling Meadows. The Rehoboth Film Society and Cape Wine and Spirits are sponsoring free screenings every Monday Night at 7 PM from now thru August 17th upstairs at the Cape Wine and Spirits store. Food and drink are also available for purchase. Seating is limited so I suggest you get there by around 6:45 or 6:50 at the latest.

You will be screening movies for selection in the Rehoboth Film Festival so there will be a wide range of content and quality. Also its always a surprise feature - they won't tell you in advance what you are going to see (until you get there).

I have gone the last two weeks and the films were very good. They are typically small low budget films but often with major acting talents like Anne Meara or Bebe Neuharth (for example).

P.S. This is not for kids. Location not withstanding, it still wouldn't be kid-friendly because you never know whether there might be a violent scene or some kind of risque conversation, etc.

Check out the sample banners posted on the website and give me your feedback. I can't stand looking at any of them right now. I've been tweaking them for days. -holly

Thanks Holly!!! A cool toy and hope that we use it. What a great way for neighbors to communicate.
Hey Karen,
We need to include both the Blogg and the new website in the next newsletter. Do we have any old newsletters that we could get on the newsletter???
